Outdoor Expo

Lake Okeechobee News is pleased to present an Outdoor Expo on the Okeechobee County Agri-Civic Center grounds for two full days in January!

The City of Okeechobee sits on the banks of the largest freshwater lake in Florida. Lake Okeechobee is the liquid heart of South Florida. The massive lake covers 730 square miles in south-central Florida and is the second-largest freshwater lake wholly within the continental United States.

Visit with vendors to assist you in exploring Outdoor Okeechobee! Here is a list of activities:

Activities at the expo:

Food Vendors including Pig In or Pig Out, Swamp Cracker BBQ, B Daddy Smoke N Grill, The Hot Dog Wagon and Cool Yeti 

Live Music featuring Scott Benge “Acoustic Music with Heart and Soul” 11am-2pm Saturday and Sunday

Paddock Farms Mini Horses – continuous throughout the event

Okeechobee Sharpshooters 4-H Club Introduction to Archery – continuous throughout the event

Quail Creek Plantation Retriever Demonstration – Time/Day to be announced

Okeechobee Sheriff’s Department Canine Demonstration – Time/Day to be announced

Okeechobee High School Rodeo Team Roping Demonstration -throughout the event

Kissimmee Prairie Preserve State Park Presentation 10:30am Saturday / 2pm Sunday

FSCA Honeybelles Presentation – History of the Honeybells and Florida Sporting Clays Association, type of shot gun sports, sporting clay sizes and shells – 2pm Saturday

Inflatable axe throwing, archery, giant foam horseshoes and bounce house for kids

Fishing demonstrations throughout the event at Okeechobee Fishing Headquarters booth
