OKEECHOBEE- Okeechobee High School’s Vincent Cantalini announced on May 4 that he will continue his education and football career at Manchester University in Indiana.

“I want to start with a thank you to my parents and family that have always supported me through my football journey,” said Vincent on his Facebook. “I was close to giving up on my dream many times because I didn’t feel wanted by any schools until midway through senior year when I started to get noticed.”

“It was mentally the toughest thing I have went through,” continued Vincent. “But I have had the strongest support system I could ask for. As most of you know my goal since I was five years old was to play football at the collegiate level, that being said I will be pursuing my dream at Manchester University.”

Vincent now joins four other Brahman football players who signed letters of intent this year. In February Santana Alvarez, Ni’marion Bryant, Jazari Corde, and Tyrone Hayes all signed letters of intent with Palm Beach Elite Academy.

The Brahman football program  had their first winning season in nearly ten years last season. Okeechobee finished with a 6-4 record. The Brahman defense held Okeechobee’s first three opponents scoreless while the offense racked up 141 points in the same three-game timespan.
