Owner of lost marijuana sought

OKEECHOBEE — Somewhere in the county, some unlucky stoner laments losing his or her stash of pot.

On Wednesday, June 1, a lost and found property complaint was made at the TownStar, located at 1865 Highway 70 West, and Deputy Mitchell interviewed a store employee. The employee said that while she was working, she noticed a plastic bag by the door.

She picked it up and thought it to be drugs. Although she didn’t see who dropped the bag, she knew that the substance inside was probably illegal, so she did the responsible thing and called the cops.

Deputy Mitchell collected the bag, which contained 2.3 grams of marijuana.
