Info needed on stolen truck

OKEECHOBEE — A sheriff’s office detective is asking for help in locating a Super Duty pickup truck that was stolen from the lot of Gilbert Ford Motor Company, 3175 U.S. 441 S.

Detective Lieutenant Brad Stark, of the Okeechobee County Sheriff’s Office (OCSO), said the red 2015 F-250 Lariat truck valued at $54,000 was stolen sometime on Tuesday, May 17.

“We believe access was made with the keys. A set of keys are missing,” said Lt. Stark in a May 20 interview. “It’s my hope it’s still around and somebody just took it for a joy ride.”

He went on to say the four-wheel drive truck was parked outside the dealership’s service bay.

The truck is a crew cab model with an automatic transmission, diesel engine, standard-length bed and 18,000 miles. The vehicle identification number (VIN) is 1FT7W2BT2FEB38697.
