Okeechobee Kiwanis Club to host radio auction

OKEECHOBEE — The Okeechobee Kiwanis Club’s annual radio auction is set for Saturday, Feb. 6, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

Items to be sold to the highest bidder include hunting trips, tire alignments, spa days, jewelry, specialty food items and gift certificates to local stores.

Value of the auction items ranges from $10 to $1,000. Local businesses and organizations have donated 152 items to the auction.

The auction will be will be streamed live on WOKC 100.9 FM. Listen to WOKC radio during the live auction to make a purchase. A listing of items to bid on is available below and also on the Kiwanis FaceBook page.

All proceeds from the auction are used to Kiwanis projects such as: local scholarships, Key Club, Builders Club, Terrific Kids, Mini grants, Santa in the Park, G4S & OGA Christmas parties, and other events for youth of our community.

Tune into WOKC 100.9 FM or 1570 AM  on Feb. 6 to listen to the auction via radio. You can also live stream via their website.

Call into the CenterState Bank number of 863-763-5573 to bid on a item as soon as the LOT begins. Bids will only be accepted during the 25 minute lot of listing.

Callers MUST know the item and lot number in order to bid.

The highest bidder at the end of the lot time frame will be notified via telephone immediately.

Bid winners will need to come to CenterState Bank (2100 S. Parrott Ave., across from Walmart) to pay for and collect their items. Items can be picked up until 4 p.m. on the day of the auction.

Kiwanis does reserve the right to change the order or combination of items to be auctioned.
