CLEWISTON — Dr. Mary McLeod Bethune Comes to Life” on Tuesday, Feb. 5, at 5 p.m. at the Florida B. Thomas Library, 1010 J Harlem Academy Ave. Ersula Knox-Odom, in costume and in character, portrays Dr. Bethune. Dr. Bethune was the founder of the Bethune-Cookman University, civil rights activist, “New Deal” government official, and served as president of the National Association of Colored Women.
